Video adapter selection guide for old devices

Unclassified 290

VGA adapters and DVI adapters are more suitable for connecting old devices, as follows:
VGA adapter

Strong compatibility: VGA interface is a computer display standard that uses analog signals. Almost all old monitors and projectors support this interface, including cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors. It can facilitate users to switch between different old devices. Even devices of different brands and different generations can be connected through VGA adapters.
Easy connection: The connection method of VGA interface is simple and intuitive. Users can easily complete the connection operation without complicated settings or installing additional drivers.
Long transmission distance: The transmission distance of VGA interface can reach 15 meters. For old devices that need to be connected over long distances, such as old projectors in conference rooms or classrooms, VGA adapters can meet the needs.

Low cost: The price of VGA adapters is relatively low, which is an affordable choice for users with limited budgets.
DVI adapter cable

Good compatibility: DVI interface is more common in old computer graphics cards and monitors. Although there are many types of DVI interfaces, such as DVI-A, DVI-D and DVI-I, in general, through the appropriate adapter or adapter cable, different types of DVI interfaces and other interfaces (such as HDMI) can be well connected, and some older DVI devices can be connected.

Good image quality: DVI is a digital interface that supports high-resolution video signal transmission and can provide clear and sharp images. The text and image edges will not be blurred or jagged. When connecting to old high-resolution LCD monitors, it can ensure good image quality, which is better than the analog signal transmission of the VGA interface.
If the old device only has a VGA interface, then the VGA adapter cable is the first choice; if the device is an older DVI interface device, or it is a new interface device such as HDMI but wants to connect to an old monitor with a DVI interface, etc., a DVI adapter cable or a corresponding HDMI to DVI adapter cable will be more suitable.
